Skin Cancer Patient 16
Oasis Eye Face and Skin | Ashland, Medford, Grants Pass, Oregon
Featured here is a 75-year-old woman who was referred to Dr. Schiedler by her eye surgeon / ophthalmologist for a flaky, red, non-healing lesion on the lower lid near the nasal bridge. Dr. Schiedler biopsied it and confirmed a squamous cell carcinoma, which was then removed by Mohs dermatologist, resulting in a moderate size defect. Dr. Schiedler repaired it with an adjacent tissue flap in such a way as to maintain normal blink and contour, and prevent lower eyelid scarring and pulling away from the eye. The patient was happy with her result and cosmetic appearance.
